Bagpipe Stuff Patrick's Stuff |
This is quickly becoming a resevoir of tunes instead of recordings. With that in mind, if you are looking for sheet music, look under the smallpipes section. Tunes are listed Alphabetically (the word 'the' is not included at the beginning of any tune name) (and) (in a set, the name of the first tune is used to categorize the whole set) under which ever instrument I decided to play the tune(s) on. As far as copyright goes, if you see a tune of which you own the copyright and don't want it distributed let me know and I'll remove it. If you don't mind it being distributed but I didn't cite you as the composer, it is probably because I don't know you wrote it, so send me an email and I'll fix it. Check out Barfly, the software by Phil Taylor I use to score the music! Tunes in orange were written by me, Patrick McLaurin! Tunes in green are Irish (I think). Tunes associated with the USA are red. Christmas tunes are in red and green and do not include grace notes, they are for you to personalize. The rest, that remain in black are probably Scottish. Smallpipes - If you want to play along but my chanter isn't in tune with yours, check out Audacity, which allows you to change the pitch of the audio without changing the speed. It isn't perfect, but hey, it's FREE! 42nd Highlanders - Sheet Music - ABC source code - MP3 (played slow) Abercairny Highlanders - Sheet Music - Broad Sheet Music Always Ready/U.S. Coast Guard - Sheet Music - ABC source code Amazing Grace - EUSPBA Sheet Music - MP3 - Most widely distributed, and incorrect version of Amazing Grace Amazing Grace - Sheet Music - ABC source code - Amazing Grace taken from a hymnal. - Video America - Sheet Music - ABC source code America the Beautiful - Sheet Music - ABC source code Anchors Aweigh/Navy - Sheet Music - ABC source code Angels We Have Heard on High - Sheet Music - ABC source code Arniston Castle - Sheet Music - Broad Sheet Music Away in a Manger - Sheet Music - ABC source code Barbara McLaurin - Sheet Music - ABC source code Black Bear - Sheet Music - MP3 Bonnie Ann - Sheet Music - Broad Sheet Music Bonny Dundee - EUSPBA Sheet Music - MP3 (played slow) Brown Haired Maiden - Sheet Music - ABC source code - MP3 (played slow) - Video - EUSPBA Sheet Music Caber Feidh - Sheet Music - Broad Sheet Music Caisson Song/The Army Goes Rolling Along - Sheet Music - ABC source code Calista Anne McLaurin - Sheet Music - ABC source code - Waltz written for daughter. I just about stole the whole first part of this tune from a tune called "Moving Cloud", unknowingly of course. I always thought this tune came too easily. Second part is all mine though, I think. My wife is a pediatric resident, I'm working on my dissertation, and we've got two kids, so I probably will just send you an email with the search results from the Bob Pekaar Tune Encyclopedia which will tell you what book(s) you can find the tune in. DO NOT request sheet music that is copyrighted! If the composer is alive, I will not distribute their music, even if I have it! If you are looking for a COPYRIGHTED tune and don't want to buy a big music book for just one tune, check out Jim McGillivray's PipeTunes! The contents of which are periodically added to the Bob Pekaar Tune Encyclopedia which will tell you what book(s) you can find the tune in. Jim's site is great with sheet music and recordings of many popular classic and modern tunes that you can buy for a couple of bucks each. |
