Then and Now (sort of, anyway)

Attached are Amazing Grace, Scotland the Brave, and Paddy’s Leather Breeches. There are two versions of each. One set was recorded in the mid to late 1990’s (edit – 1999), the other set was recorded around 2005. Listening to these old recordings reminds me of where I have been; and have shown that I have made progress! I’m not sure my fingers are as good as they were in 2005, though. I think one of the biggest differences between the two sets of recordings is control of the instrument, which I think takes time to master. – Peace out, Patrick McLaurin

Edit – The 1999 recordings were in a recording studio. The 2005 recordings were in my bedroom with a $10 microphone and my computer. The 1999 recordings were played on a Grainger and Campbell bagpipe with a poly Shepherd Chanter, I think. The 2005 recordings were with a 1950’s set of Henderson’s with african blackwood chanter.
